    VLOG #3: Birthday Weekend!

Heya! 🙋 I’m back with a new vlog—this time of my birthday weekend two weeks ago. We didn’t really plan a big celebration since we also had Manor Care outreach with our church that afternoon but I still took videos of the whole weekend. (more…)

    While You’re Sleeping…

    Dearest MB,

Today we celebrated our wedding anniversary, a first of many more blessed years to come, I’m sure. I can’t help but smile as I write this and look back on the past year that we have spent as husband and wife. (more…)

  • A Year Older and Wiser

    A Year Older and Wiser

The other day, a friend from the Philippines shared a photo with the caption, “Happy ‘2nd’ life 2nd anniv!” with me and two other friends. It was a photo of two bottles of vodka taken three years ago when the four of us and their significant others went to a club to celebrate my birthday in advance.

My initial reaction was short of disgust towards myself as if someone was airing out my dirty laundry. It was a record of a really dark and low point in my life. But then it also reminded me of a miracle that happened the morning after a night of partying. (more…)

  • VLOG #2: Walking Around Washington D.C.

VLOG #2: Walking Around Washington D.C.

This is a super duper late upload of our short trip to D.C. last March! The plan was to go to D.C. to view some exhibits in the Arthur M. Sackler and Freer Galleries and then eventually walk up to the Tidal Basin to take pictures with the cherry blossoms. We went there a week earlier than the Cherry Blossom Festival to avoid the crowd, but I guess a lot of people thought the same thing. We all got too tired from all the walking that we eventually ended up NOT taking a lot of photos with the cherry blossoms.

It took me a while to put together this video because 1) I wasn’t sure if all the shots I took where good and 2) I don’t know if my video editing skills would be good enough. But then I thought I wouldn’t learn and improve if I didn’t at least try…so here goes my second video or vlog in my channel. (more…)

  • Act for Compassion, Act with Love

Act for Compassion, Act with Love

My birthday is coming up and I’d like for you to celebrate it with me by supporting my fundraising campaign for Compassion International, one of the world’s leading child development organizations. As of this writing, I’ve raised $200 of my $1,000 goal. Every dollar that I raise for this campaign will go straight to Compassion, and it is my prayer that I get enough help to reach poverty-stricken children from all over the world, providing them with their necessities and giving them the opportunity to be welcomed into the Father’s arms, and so I pray that I may be able to touch your hearts and encourage you to joyfully give and love on these children of God.
